After a prolonged summer period with warm temperatures and light winds, the last week provided some necessary release with low pressures featuring once again. Bertha came and went, followed by a depression from the north. Okay, so the air temperature has dropped a bit, but the sea is still warm and the enjoyment on the water tangible. The local kid’s team – Will’s Weymouth Warriors – were out in force last Sunday, training up for their ‘BIG CHALLENGE‘ which this year is a downwinder from the centre along the east coast. How far they get depends on the conditions and their teamwork … it could be Overcombe … it could be as far as Kimmeridge! Please read more about their challenge on the link above … and then donate for their VERY worthy cause.
